Female Or Male - Which Dog is Better?

Many people can't decide which dog makes a better pet-male or female. Which one is the best? It depends on what you're looking for, for example, if you care about the personality and character of the dog more than anything else, the gender shouldn't make a huge difference. Your choice will be based solely on how the puppy behaves and acts towards you and other folks when you are looking at the litter.

On another level, if you want to find out whether a male dog or a female dog would generally make an overall better pet, then you'll have to take in other factors, such as the size, temperament, and level of care.

What to Look For When Choosing A Female Dog

Usually, female dogs are relatively smaller in size and warmer in behaviors. There are, however, some male dogs that are just as kind as female dogs. Several dog trainers and breeders recommend a female dog to homes with young children. Some actually believe that there is some type of maternal instinct that exists in female dogs. This is usually described as a quality that makes them amiable and ideal for a household with children.

Never allow feminine problems such as heat cycles and bleeding steer you away from getting a female pet. If you are apprehensive that she will bleed all over your home when that time comes, consider getting her spayed, which is the ideal thing to do anyway. What to Look For When Choosing A Male Dog

Male pets are a little more difficult to care for at times than females. Reason being, they are quite good at performing a disappearing act when a nearby female dog is in heat. This can be quite hazardous to the dog as well as create problems for you. Several male dogs have been hurt or even killed when escaping their homes to search for a female in heat. Between moving cars and fights with other male dogs, it makes perfect sense to also have male dogs fixed.

Most male dogs are also very protective over their property, including any of his "stuff" inside your home, his bathroom area, or even a female dog. A male dog usually become very hostile when they think that his property is being taken over by another dog and is willing to fight to defend it.

Shaun T Insanity VS the P90X Workout Program - Which One is Better?

Over the next couple minutes you will learn the comparisons and differences between these two rival "workout at home" exercise programs.

The P90X workout program used to be the one exercise program that everyone knew thanks to early morning and late night infomercials. Recently Beachbody added a new program to the game that to some may be considered a rival, that program is Shaun T Insanity.

But which one is more intense?

Comparably they are both equal in their own rights but each workout program focuses on a different approach towards fitness.

I have personally used both programs and this gives me the rare opportunity to offer a first hand look at both the P90X workout program and Shaun T Insanity. After this article you will be fully equipped with the answers you are looking for.

Which works better? P90X or the Insanity workout?

Great questions, though it's hard to put both workout programs side by side as it's not a simple apples to apples comparison but more like apples to oranges. Both programs are capable of offering a huge physical challenge but each has it's own approach and it's own target results. I'll explain.

The P90X workout program is a 90 day system which could otherwise be considered an "at home boot camp". You will need a chin up bar, a chair, a set of dumbbells and/or bands, shoes, plus about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half 6 days a week. The 7th day is an optional stretch or complete rest day.

From first hand experience I like to look at P90X as a "all-in-one" program. It is not designed to just bulk you up, it's not going to just help you lose weight, it's not just balance, and it's not just cardio.

The P90X workout program just tosses a bit of everything into the equation. You lift heavy one day (or light if you want);, you're punching and kicking with Kenpo karate another day, and to top it off on other days you will be doing 1 and a half hours of Yoga for a complete mind/ body/ soul adventure.

You will go through three phases of 1 month each in P90X with each month switching it up. Most of the cardio, stretch, and balance routines stay the same. The difference in each phase is that you change out the resistance workouts so that your muscles are constantly challenged so they will always be receptive to the workout rather than plateauing.

Shaun T Insanity takes a completely different approach. The workout program is 60-days in length and is based solely on Plyometrics, Core, and Cardio training. You will not lift weights, you will not do chin ups, you don't need a chair, and the workouts range from 35-45 minutes the first phase to 1 hour and 15 minutes the second phase.

You will need very good shoes, preferably a mat to jump on, and near perfect form to avoid injury.

You can already see that Shaun T Insanity is different than P90X so how are the comparable?

The Insanity workout program, though shorter in length, is based on maximum effort Interval cardio. Meaning it's all about fast, powerful, and coordinated moves. You will still be doing push-ups just like in P90X but otherwise you only use your body, gravity, and will power to push through.

I am telling you from personally experience, with Insanity you literally drip buckets of sweat, seriously! Just because it's shorter than P90X doesn't mean it's not as intense.

You will not be running in one place for an hour, you are jumping around, squatting, balancing, and crunching your core. Shaun T Insanity is on the same level as P90X but the difference is you don't need extra equipment, you won't be lifting weights, and the workouts go by much faster.

Insanity is more for the leaner ripped look while P90X will allow for more muscle size and strength.

If you have already completed P90X then I will tell you this. Shaun T Insanity is like taking P90X Plyometrics, doubling the intensity, and doing it 6 days a week.

So which one is better, P90X or Shaun T Insanity?

I don't think you will find one "better than the other" but what you will find are two different approaches towards fitness.

P90X is a longer 90 day program that has longer workouts but incorporates a slower pace compared to Insanity offering more time to adapt and become stronger. Also you are lifting weights so there is more potential to gain size and muscle definition.

Shaun T Insanity is 60 days with much shorter and faster pace workouts, you won't be able to adapt as fast and you won't get great results by pausing through each workout. Insanity is a balls to the walls style workout, it's straight forward and fast but demands major motivation and energy.

Both workout programs have a "mix-it-up" style so each one changes things throughout the program so there is no monotony.

One final note, if you have knees or lower body joint issues, Insanity may not be for you. It is based on a lot of jumping and really can and will tax your knees and joints if not performed correctly. It is much higher impact compared to P90X. That is something to consider when looking at the two side by side.

Because of the approach Insanity takes I like to look at it this way. If you feel you are P90X capable and are in decent shape, if you can do push-ups, chin-ups, and if you can handle interval cardio, then either program is suitable.

If you cannot do some or all of the previously mentioned exercises then it's better to avoid Insanity until you can at least complete P90X. Insanity is not a beginner workout, so if you just stepping back into the physical fitness game, throw the ego out, start somewhere small and build up.

The most important thing to remember is - our cat is not a person who is walking on four legs, your cat was originally designed to live out in nature and not in your closed house, a cats' natural environment is highly different from your clean and sparkly house - just by starting to acknowledge this general fact about your cat, you'll finally take your first step and start to understand and accept some aspects of your cats' behaviors.

With time, your cat will associate his deed with your inconvenient gesture - which he definitely does not like (e.g. - you scream at him "No", Splash of water to his direction - not directly at him, air-pressure spray, falling house keys next to him, etcetera...), if you'll repeat one these actions persistently, then - your cat will "understand" you much faster.

Never ever hit your cat!!! If your cat does something unwanted, beating him will only make you more frustrated with him when he'll repeat his behavior, and by causing pain to your cat! - In the wild the cat is an individual animal, highly territorial and independent - you should always remember - that your house cat, doesn't naturally know his limitations in your household - just like you do!

I called my cat, why didn't he come "running" to me?

Your cat will best respond to names that end with a high tone or sound of "Hey" or "He" as Gary, Jackie, Pitzi, Miley, Joey etc... You may reduce or adjust your cat's name to stand out more vocally - we changed from Jack to Jackie.

Your cat is very cute, we know that, but if you call him a million names, he'll find it very difficult to differentiate when it is you're really calling him - wouldn't you be confused?

Here are just a few of our nicknames we had for Jackie: Johnush, Juju, Jojo, and Jacko... Jackie found it much harder to distinguish when he was called, you should definitely focus on addressing your cat by only one name (we recommend the cutest).

My cat climbs on the curtains, what should I do?

Dealing With Kitten Diarrhea - Tips to make it better

Two weeks ago saw the cutest little furry babies in a display pet store, I made the most of impulsive decisions, I adopted two kittens. I hastened to pay their fee adoption, making their first round of shots and spay / neuter fee has been included. We went home when the girl, Lucille Abigail Twinkletoes (Lulu for short), had suffered diarrhea. The smelly, dirty, horrible way to get anywhere and we had to do another 30 minutes - blech!

The other cat, a boy reported,we named LeRoy (more on that later), has been free from the return trip. In fact, when it came time for the litter box, he had diarrhea.

As any modern parent, I went online. I have read good advice and bad, because I did not want to go to the emergency vet that night. Needless to say, the diarrhea one night was enough for me - I have an appointment veterinarian. And here's what I've learned that might help you if you go through the same experience of Bad KittyDiarrhea:

1 Feed your young animals. In my case I have 2 puppies tablespoons ground turkey mixed with a tablespoon of pumpkin seeds and cooked rice. He devoured it up! I was also told that acidophilus - found in yogurt - it was good for them. I have a problem feeding milk to cats, is a no-no for me, so I added a gel cap acidophilus powder their turkey. He has eaten more.

Secondly, make sure they are drinking water and water only for drinking.Cow's milk is for cats, is for the cows. When it was night and the pet shops were closed, the kitten milk replacer formula I could not. Sun drinking water. Dehydration comes on quickly in the small living things, so I watched and encouraged her drinking water.

Food 3 -. This proved to be a problem. While I was in the pet store and I know that all pets are determined to be healthy and nutritious, are not all equal.
